Depending on their size the beddy/whippet is a very limited dog their ok for rabbiting .atb dell

ive seen my self two 19" first x bed/whips catch much more than just a rabbit. one died doing what he loved and the other still runs like fxxk now even with age. also good day dog goes to ground aswell which is mad. real good allrounder i think just depends on the owner they have the ability as long as the owner can bring them on properly and do the dog justice. which is the same with all dogs atb jamie

Yes but you wouldent get a 19 inch beddy whippet with the intention of useing solely for other purposes than rabbiting

agree there if your say a pure hare courser then there are better breeds out there but after seeing these dogs work when in the right hands i think they make good allrounders as long as you give them the work. also have a friend in walsall hows rearing one on now he brought one after seeing my dog work who was the son of one of the two brothers mentioned above. the bloke only had saluki x's before but now he says hes a bed/whip man any day. think its down to the owner of the breed if you show them larger quarry and give them the experience there like any other breed more than capable. but if they dont gain the experience your only going to have a rabbiting dog at the end. atb jamie

We are talking about bedlington x peddigree whippet as beddy/nonpeds can be a lot different size wise.

sorry didnt see him say pedigree whippet well actually he doesnt say at all but regardless if it was a ped whip as long both sire and dam are a good size can still do more quarry than rabbit. seen loads take rabbit, hare, fox etc just as well as other crosses but if your talking non ped whip then there no excuss as like you said there are some at different sizes some being very large. which might help a very small amount so will deffinantly do better than just rabbit the only problem with them is there not very good day time coursing on the hare as there are alot better breeds for that job
