Hi mate , i use a ruger 77/22 K hornet, Excellent calibre good on fox out to 200yds max, rabbits further if you can hit them :icon_redface:cheap and easy to reload ( factory ammo is a bit pricey )no recoil to speak of, very quiet when decent mod is fitted. i use 40 grain blitz kings and 13 grain Lil-gun powder & get 3000FT/sec which is not bad for the little case. Max load for my K hornet is 13.5 gn lil-gun which is 3150 Ft /sec :gunsmilie: Very underated calibre which is recently having a bit of a revival :clapper: Hope this helps

It's not popular anymore!!!

I am convinced this is more to do with marketing (other calibres) than technology. The Hornet has a lot going for it and rifles can be found at "reasonable" prices.

Ammo is not always easy to find so Home Brews can be a good idea.

Noise and power wise it sits well between my WMR and .223, and the idea keeps coming into my head to look at one, but at the moment I seem to be coping without...but...Never say never!!

Hi again fella, My rifle is a standard right hander, but i shoot left handed :icon_redface: dont find it too much of a problem just takes a little longer when operating the bolt with the right hand when on freehand shots , No prob at all when on bipod or sticks

If you can try one first
