tillylamp 1,830
Well another one to test your memories Whats your favourite pudding? Mine is the good old fashioned Spotty Dick made the old way with suet and boiled in an old tea towel. When it was cold we used to cut it like a loaf and put REAL butter on it with brown sugar.....yummy the dogs bollocks !! Thats how my Gran used to do it and to this day no one can match it. Also Jam roly poly yum yum. When we went out for a meal there was Spotty Dick on the menu, so yep you guessed it, I had no choice but to try it..after all it would be rude not to a? when it arrived it was NOT spotty dick it was sponge with currents.....Goddam it !! Where has the old time puddings gone ??? Nowadays I have been totally defenceless with Banoffe Pie TL
MuttleMcTuttle 21
Don't worry, old fashioned "nursery" puddings still have their place, and all the ingredients for making them are in my kitchen cupboards Restaurant puddings are a farce, and best avoided. My favourite pudding is probably raspberry roulade, but that's a bit posh, and very fiddly to make. Edited March 7, 2010 by MuttleMcTuttle
