I have personally seen dogs take double figures weekly.. single handed.. week in week out... are they well known.. probably to a close circle of friends... braggin off about what youve got in your ken

foxes years ago were every where just like rabbits ,and they was only frightend of the sound of a hunting horn ,they never associated a lamp with danger like they do today ,they would even take rabbit

and a very good freind but yes my remus is souly lamped! but does get out with terriers thumbs.gif

not quite the legend yet then,a good fox dog should be worked day and night, able to bush when required, work with terrier's without causing a nuisance, not just an end of dig dog,get out in the day and see how clever they can be,daytime foxes can be quite tricky, wirralman

im not asking for people to sit and say i have such n such a dog and im called blah blah blah, i would rather names werent posted on this topic, thats how trouble starts, it seems certain dogs are known by certain people in certain areas, the remus i have heard of is a very well talked about dog, but like i said this isnt about nameing folk ffor the thieves that scan the pages looking for hints and tips of where to find there next victim, so boys, name the dogs not the men, those who know the dogs will already know the men and dont need to name them, cheers

You beat me to it Jay!

A dog named Floyd, by far THE best fox dog i've ever seen. Lurcher X Lurcher bred, this dog had it all, in spades full, fast, hard and ultra keen a dog that could catch a fox, he just knew all the moves!

This dog was run for about 8 seasons, only on foxes, sometimes up to four times a week, his owner was a numbers man and put the milage in, that was his game and Floyd was as game on his first as his last. His owner keeps a tally of his numbers but if I put it up on here most would think it a piss take and it certainly isn't!!

yes i have seen the dog run and run againts alot of dogs from all over the country for big money and this dog came out on top 90% of the time. 4 figures is maybe a bit over bourd from me but the numbers were getting up near there and alot of you wont believe me. I have seen this dog catch a fox 2 fields away on the lamp and also in the roughest fields i have seen :boxing:
