can anyone help

my bitch has just given birth to two pups, the first one wasnt breathing so i had to rub it until it started making a noise, the other went straight to its mothers teet but now the mother wont let the other pup feed, any help or advice?????

thanks for the advice, i just tried puttin the pup to the teet again and my bitch just nosed her away so it looks like im gona have to get the pup milk, can it wait till the mornin? or should i get miself down the 24hr tescos?? thats if they do the milk!

this is gonna sound disgusting but most dogs reject there young from human scent if you've got some gloves put some on then get one of the sack they were in and dirty the pup up in it this will help mask your smell then put it infront of her to clean. This is what we do with lambs if there rejected we can even do this to introduce a lamb to a foster mum by rubbing it in her after birth/sack. This should work but if not then milk and hand rearing but if your pup doesnt feed with her for the first 6 hours get some collestrum its what the mother produces in the first few hours it boosts there immune systems and helps prevent puppy viruses
