foresterj 1,096
according Blacks veterinary dictionary the percentage of adult dogs(3yrs+) contracting parvo or distemper is so minimal as to render any vaccination beyond this point as totally fruitless. Quote Link to post
Sarahnya 0
I don't vaccinate mine every year anymore, just the puppy one and I plan to leave it again until they are around 5. I've never had a problem with any of my dogs over the years and I must confess I never even vaccinated my first dog. I really find the repeated letters I receive from the vet every year to say that their vaccination is overdue irritating too, plus they put a lot of pressure on you to have the dogs spayed as well, I feel like I'm getting a guilt trip everytime I visit them. I agree, my beagle x is a month overdue so far and he still tackles rats quite happily and is perfectly healthy. And as you say sarahnya the vets DO like to make as much profit as possible! So do we all i spose but i wouldnt consider "false selling" to be best practice. I made a comment along these lines myself this morning in the for sale section under "whippet". Quote Link to post
