TAXI DRIVER 549
Nice dogs you have. How`s the German shepherd x greyhound getting on work wise?If they`re bred from good shepherd lines they can be awesome dogs. Quote Link to post

I'm bringing her on nice and steady, she's retreiving ,but she mouths the rabbits a bit hard at the moment (still a pup). 100% with ferrets. These crosses are faster than they look. They need sensible handling otherwise they can think that they're the boss I've never physically disiplined her. Just firm but fair. I'm no expert, but I'd say these dogs are certainly not for the beginer. Quote Link to post
CI HIR 13
What way was she bred, was the GSD the dam or sire?I have a Dutch Shepherd pup, nearly 9 months old who`s a bit of a handfull at times so I know what you mean with them not being for the beginner.Keep us posted on her progress. Poor fecking thing was locked up by itself most of the time, and then she used to let it out to run wild when she got home in the evenings. It would run up behind you and try attacking you if you didn't keep your eyes open leaving the flat. I took to taking a stick with me after a while when going out to the car or anything. Things came to a head when I brought my newborn son home from hospital in his car seat, and it started barking and going ape shit after the car seat as I had it in my hand. I lost the head with it and kicked it all the way back to where it lived and told the woman that if it wasn't gone by the next night, I'd be over with a shovel.. It disappeared shortly after that.. The shame is that it probably could have been a very handy dog in the right hands, it was quick as f**k! I'm not usually scared of dogs. but the size, speed and intelligence of that thing scared me to hell. Edited March 5, 2010 by maltenby Quote Link to post

The sire was a 28'' GSD x Greyhound and I believe the dam was GSD/Collie x Grey/Whippet, = 3/8th GSD, 3/8th Greyhound, 1/8th collie, 1/8th Whippet. Quote Link to post
