waidmann 105 Posted March 11, 2010 Report Share Posted March 11, 2010 i have seen some grey/black crows in germany bud. they call them "fog crows" its the same species and a different type. the crow is"corvus corone corone" and the grey fellas are "corvus corone cornix" try to google it and see if thats the one you mean? other types are "corvus corax" (raven) "corvus frugilegus"( rook) and "corvus monedula" (the jack daw) "pica pica" (magpie) "garrulus glandarius" (jay) and quite rare(in germany,i'm not sure about here) the pine jay "nucifraga caryrocatactes". well worth looking into these very intelligent and often amazing birds. hope that helps.
