Stewy 1
Two weeks ago i covered my Bitch with a friends dog, she looks to be showing already. My question is this, should i keep walking her twice a day or should i completely rest her up???? The reason being she is a very active dog (Bull cross) and she keeps running and turning and jumping gates. Don't want to do any damage. Any Advice??? Edited March 4, 2010 by Stewy Quote Link to post

Stewy 1
Should have mentioned i walked her with another dog, she doesn't like her running around while she's on the lead. I'll have to walk her on her own too perhaps. Edited March 4, 2010 by Stewy Quote Link to post

terrier410 53
terrier and hound man meself but they`ll hunt till a week before, within reason, think your bitch will know when to calm down, obviously the long dog men know best but 2 weeks is only just.? Quote Link to post
stabba 10,745
Pregnancy is not an illness. Normal walks/excercise should be fine until the bitch starts showing signs of discomfort(usually around the 6 to 7 weks mark). After that just light excercise should suffice. atb stabba Quote Link to post

I just plan on walking her twice a day, because she is crazy, she doesn't know when to stop. She ran into a container on a football field after a rabbit a few weeks back. I have other dogs there to keep me habit fed while she needs the time off.Shes me favorite. Edited March 4, 2010 by Stewy Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
I run my bitches up til about a week or so before they have the pups. They wont kill themselves anyhow. Once they start gettin heavy they will slow down on their style a bunch but its still good for their heart and lungs and probably real good for the pups inside also. Quote Link to post
