Edd_Wiltshire 9
Hi All, Out for a mooch last night, had a monster run, real cracker, seemed to last for minutes. Dog was fine if not a little tired! anyway slowley wondered to the next fields to give the dog a chance to catch his breath, slipped him on a rabbit about 100 yards away, hammered it up then down the hedge then it went it, dog must of smacked his head on a fence post pretty hard as the green mould had come off onto his bonce. Anyway we called it a day, he seemed fine. Got home and he seemed a bit strange, kept having a really funny cough as if something was stuck in his throat, i checked it out and nothing, he ate and drank fine but the cough persisted. Could this be related to his head whack? is it a kind of concussion? Quote Link to post

Edd_Wiltshire 9
Yeah, if it was just a cough i wouldnt of posted, it was the fact that this werid cough started straight after he smacked his nogin. Will keep an eye on him, think it was a mixture of a smacked head and hurt pride for losing his prey! Quote Link to post

boyo 1,398
i remember years ago was lamping a estate near to where i live and my collie greyhound knocked herself out on a tree stump going down to pick up a rabbit. when she came round as we were carrying her back to car she started wailing like a banshee this was 3 oclock in the morning and the noise was unbelievable took her straight to the vet who we had to knock up and they phoned the police because of banging on the door had some explaining to do that night but laughed about it later.
