budharley 945 Posted March 4, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 4, 2010 Well just got back from vets £200 pound lighter how can they charge that and she said we could put a plate in half price £500 i wish it was a different outcome but im happy hes not in any pain oh and they charged me for 1 injection so he had that 1 injecton of pain relief at 7 this morning and didnt get pts til 1 oclock so would that of left him in no pain i dought it lasted 5 hours Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110 Posted March 4, 2010 Report Share Posted March 4, 2010 you made the right decision mate,sorry it had to be made,best thing all round for everyone,pick yourself up and find a new pup,it's the only thing that ever helps me,it won't replace troy but will help you over the loss of a good dog.I hope your gonna eat that pet rabbit first chance you get,just remember this, running dogs are made to run,not hobble about on three legs,it never gets any easier when losing a dog,especially a good one,I'm 52 year's of age and still get upset when I lose one,chin up and crack on,condolences,wirralman Quote Link to post

Don 5 Posted March 4, 2010 Report Share Posted March 4, 2010 Just read through this post and I'm gutted for you mate, got a tear in my eye as I type, at least you know in your heart of hearts that you've done the right thing for him, wouldnt have been fair putting Troy through all that pain for it maybe not to work in any case. He'll not have felt a thing, just as though he was going for a long sleep, I'm sure Troys chasing bunnies in the sky as we speak, get yourself another pup mate, springs round the corner so it's an ideal time to get out and enjoy training a new pup through the summer, and you've still got your happy memories of Troy to keep you going.
