jack pyke countryman boots

Recommended Posts

looked good on the shelf, but no good on the hill

my left boot developt a hard ridge across the

insole within 4 weeks of wearing and split above

the rubber rand within 2 months.

returned them to my retailer and was exchanged

for a new pair.shortly after that the thinsulate lining

started to bunch up and feel uncomfortable allover,

the rand split again, the heels started to squeek

and within 8 months the tread had allmost dissapeared.

only good for walking to the pub on a dry night.

have to say, i've been well pleased with mine, just done a seasons ferreting in them, lovely and warm and still in decent nick, should get another few seasons with no problem. i did keep them well waxed though, maybe that helped.

I thought mine were good! jack pyke stuff gets a good rep, but just shows you different people can have different opinions. Sounds to me like you shouldn't have had a split though
