adamb20 22
Looking for a new lamp and lithium battery whats everyone using got a clulite and 12v 10amp battery at minute fancy a up grade i had a clulite then i bought a blitz, loads better strongly recomend one. my mate also has a clulite and we were out one night with both lamps, i checked one side and my mate checked the other. he shone this field said no theres nothing, then i went a lit it up and there was rabbits every where, his beam just wouldnt reach, blitz beam massive. and they deffintily not too big like some people say makes no difference size wise weather its a clulite or a blitz, the both easy to carry. cooper101 86
I think lightforce make the best lamps!! I use the striker as it's perfect for me!! Blitz is unreal but I don't need that much in the fields I hunt!! And my mate loves his lance the baby out the three!! I they've got lamps to suit anyone!! Allthough I do miss having the walking light I had on my clulite!! Quote Link to post

wirral countryman 2,110
been looking at the new lithium batteries myself, very lightwieght to carry, almost unbelievable, just very expensive,if your working its got to be a good investment,I'm hoping they come down in price with time like everything else, wirralman Quote Link to post
heritage 202
ive been using my own combo up to 3 times per week, i have the new lithium ion battery and although expensive, there definatly worth every penny,i cant reccomend them highly enough.Everyone has read what there capable of so i wont bore everyone with the spec but theres definatly no going back to the sealed type battery now, they do everything you would want and are a joy to use.The lamps i use are the striker 170s and like everyone says the beam is good, there sturdy, there lightweight BUT,the crap gigar socket needs removing asap, ive never had so many problems with one piece of kit as i have with mine, ill gladly pay top wack for gear but i expect it to perform well and the cigar connection, for me anyway, spoils the lightforce lamps. I had been looking into this after I struggled with mine!! I was told via email from a friend in oz that it's because the lamps are desighned to fit only lightforce made batterys!! And these batterys have diffrent plugs and connectors and other techno crap I don't understand!! To the stuff we use over here in Britain!! That's why we have diffrent lamp battery combos for sale over here as appose to buying the whole lightforce kit!! Probly usless info but thought you might like to here why we have this problem!! heritage 202
I found that even the slightest of movements when walking was enough to cause power faliure, the connector never actually pulled out of the socket but simply moved.there just too un-reliable and a real let down.I started connecting the two with electrical tape to secure them but is this what you have to do to a top end lamp to get it to function properly ?? nahhh, after finally having enough of the crap i simply replaced the male and female gigar type conectors with regular bullet terminals. Guest arch1
Can't help you with the Lamp, but i do know the Lithium batteries are top stuff. Iv'e just bought one for my GPS system. The best thing about them is they don't lose too much power when it's very cold, unlike other batteries can do. HTH Arch. Quote Link to post
