spring help

I am looking at bying a spring piston air gun for when i run out of gas in my pcp and was thinking of an hw99s as i cant aford more than £220 any one used this gun how was it?

Think of the HW 57, I have one, lightweight, fixed barrel accuracy. Mine was 175 pounds new. Wont go wrong with any HW.

Have you not got anyhting to charge your PCP up with then mate? Or did you not mean PCP? Seems a bit strange to get rid of a perfectly good PCP just cos it has no air left.

 

If that is what you want to do though the you could do alot worse than an HW99. Tried a mates out once and seemed pretty good though I didn't use it much. As many will tell you, most of Weihrauch's guns a pretty good so you shouldn't have a problem with them if that is what you want. What gun have you got at the moment mate?

no mate i charge it at gun shop and im not looking at getting rid of it but would like a springer for when it needs charging and i dont have time to go to the gun shop and the springer will also help if i just want a change in gun.And its a bsa ultra

Sweet got ya now, didn't think of that. Well then yeh as I said you could do worse than a HW99. Or if you want to stick with BSA the lightning is always s good bet. That would just sneek in under your budget as is about the same price as the HW99.

One question though... Why shell out for another gun? If you've got used to a PCP, you may find a springer not so easy to shoot if you're not used to them. Why not just buy a pump for your BSA?

that very true but we always like a new toy every now and again and i find pcp's are realy boring to shoot but very effective

I have owned a 99 before pal and they are cracking springers. I haven't come across a crap weihrauch. A 99 will take 40 to 45 metre quarry no problems with the correct technique and pellet.
