airgunner106 0
Hi everyone. Ive been shooting my air rifle for about 2 months and have got to grips with it and am shooting the vermin that fly around my backgarden such as, maggies, pigeons and even jays somtimes. And am now looking for some permission in medway (KENT). If anyone knows anyone or has any land i would be greatful if i could shoot on it. ATB. Airgunner106. Quote Link to post
Leicester hunter 0
Get out there and knock on doors fella. This post has been covered many a time. Although you will be helping the farmers and landowners, you have to gain their trust. They cannot be expected to let anybody onto their land "willy nilly" as they have too much to lose. Dress casual (not cammos) prepare some cards, and get insured via BASC or the like. Just ask if they have pest control and if you can assist, it also doesnt go amiss offering to help out with some FOC work like fixing fences etc. It WILL be a tough process, and 1 in every 10 calls MAY get you somewhere. There is definitaly more rejection than success, but keep plugging and you will get there. Also try not to approach them at meal times and weekends. Farmers work very hard and like the little free time they get. Good luck. Edited March 3, 2010 by Leicester hunter Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Also try not to approach them at meal times and weekends. Farmers work very hard and like the little free time they get. Good luck. And they really get miffed off if you disturb them when they are working very hard Just kidding You could also run off a few flyers or do some permission letters and drop the flyers in the door or mail the letters. It can take a heck of a long time to get some permission, but persevere As LH said, Good luck Phantom Quote Link to post
nathgoon 2
another one you are one of hundreds maybe thousands of blokes looking for permission. get out knock on doors . personally i wouldnt let someone i dont know jack all about on my land , but there might be a few farmers near you needing help. i would also leave it abit until the weather gets better and warmer so the rabbits will be out for all to see and when there turning there attention to crops . good luck youll need it Quote Link to post
