Fat-Ferret 857
I have used different ways of carrying Long Nets and in my opinion, the basket is hard to beat where a quick set is concerned for ferreting. Unless you actually want to use a traditional net, I would at least try a basket and you may well surprise yourself. I have always found them light and easy to manage. To use a Traditional net and carry it in a bucket...In a game bag along with poles would seem to me to be a quickset basket in a roundabout way anyway....Why buy a bag, and push a bucket into it and risk it falling out, snagging and being a nuisance, when a basket is just is light... If your worried about it spilling and moving around when your slinging it over fences and pulling it through hedges, It can be secured very well with the help of a bungey cord or a bit of rope, and theres no risk of it going anywhere. Failing all that.....You can just pull it together, tie it, and throw it over your shoulder, As it is used by its creator... If you are interested I have designed and Produce in a very small way a folding quickset basket I have been using it for some time and it has proven very sucessfull It can be folded and carried on your back and it leaves your hands free If you are interested PM me Cheers Sam007 Sam007, Do out up some pictures of your basket when you get time, It sounds interesting.
