Its legal to shoot a Scotsman inside the city walls of either Bath or York (cant remember) as long as you use a bow and arrow and its sunday :thumbdown:

I'm guessing thats from the days when the Scots wouldn't lie down to the English.

as for daft,outdated laws,someone told me about this law that makes it illegal to hunt with dogs?? :boogie:

Its the law that you have to practise archery on a sunday

 

 

Correct all English men by law had to practise archery every sunday.Thats why the french hate you. argencore

and if I am correct the two finger salute ( or up yours) was started by English archers !!

When captured by the French they would cut off there fingers so they could never use a bow and arrow again against them!!

And this was used as a form of mockery by the English before battle!!! Just a usless bit of information for you!!!
