fieldfare 1
I saw one that came from Via - Bob Crease. Was'nt as good at quarry as a female Red tail I thought, and you dont get much for your money either compared to a pure Red... Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Yep you're right mate Bob Crease knocked a few out some years ago. I can't see the point in a ferrutail when you consider a Redtail will do pretty much everything a Ferrutail will and perhaps more.... Don't get me wrong they'll obviously do the business in the field but then all Hawks and Falcons Kill for a living, its up to the Falconer to get the best out of any BOP and provide the quarry to suit the species... I have no idea lads what its worth but it looks a tad Imprinted to me with plenty of aggresion on show! I could be wrong but the postering pretty much says it all to put me off flying it.... Hope it finds a good home lads which is more important than the price .... Jasper Quote Link to post
sambam 8
there was one for sale on a falconry forum for 600 quid, i heard the ferruginous are not sutible for a novice so not sure what it would be like crossed with a red tail, still a nice looking bird, looks very powerful wouldnt like to get footed by it Quote Link to post
fieldfare 1
there was one for sale on a falconry forum for 600 quid, i heard the ferruginous are not sutible for a novice so not sure what it would be like crossed with a red tail, still a nice looking bird, looks very powerful wouldnt like to get footed by it Save your money and invest in a Red tail! The two I've seen looked niether here nor there, and just looked out of proportion. The female I saw being hunted had a longer tail than a pure Red tail. The female was a Malimprint and the male was Creche reared if I remember rightly... Dont quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure there are'nt any genuine proper Parent reared Ferutails knocking about ?
