villebones 4
Anyone on here reccomend any good cheap dog vets. After my last vet charging £400 for stitching up a skin tear, I've been advised to find a decent vet that won't rip me off?? Cheers Edited March 1, 2010 by villebones Quote Link to post

tsteve9999 456
Mine is in Walsall and has his own insurance policy which costs me 150 quid a year. Everything is covered except stuff such as when they have to send off to outside agencies for blood samples etc. There is no excess and so far they have been fine with me, and they say the price will stay the same year on year as he gets older. My dogs been a couple of times for upset stomachs and once when he shut his tail in a door, and they have done everything without a quibble. Whether they would be classed as good running dog vets I don't know, but it suits me at the moment. Quote Link to post
lamping boy 2
i hear getting your dog insured is very handy with a working dog Quote Link to post
tsteve9999 456
To be honest I think it's well worth it. I can take him there for minor things without worrying about cost and I also get wormers and flea powder for free too. Quote Link to post
