Yay - another thread about ferret colors. Just make sure you get one that matches your ferreting outfit. Wouldn't want the lads taking the piss outta you for clashing with your ferret . . . .

I have personally stated dying my ferrets red as i have found that it makes the rabits think they are facing a micro fox and bolt really quick. . . . . :whistling:

If you don't like quality working polecat ferrets, without genetic health problems, don't look at em. Simples.

Can you read? Where exactly did i say that i didnt like 'quality working polecat ferrets, without genetic problems'? I mean i keep them, so that would be a bit silly wouldn't it. No . . . . . i mean obviously i've got a thing for pink ferrets riddled with genetic problems . . . . their just more fun

The point i was making was that 'wanting to see different color ferrets in order to decide what color you want' isnt really the way to pick ferrets. I mean, we all have some color preferance (you obviously like polecats) but the first and foremost factor should be working ability and health, rather than color. At the moment there are several threads running that discuss which colors are 'better' and how to breed certain colors such as bew or silvers, its just a bit frustrating as this section is about working rather than show ferrets.

I made my point with a playful, silly, remark rather than an insulting rant as its been done so many times before and i can also understand some people choosing one color over another if presented with a litter of all healthy well bred ferrets. . . .

Sooooooooo....... chill out you miserable b*****d! :feck:

I'm in the north mate, and I don't intend breeding any this year,I only breed when I need some myself. I'm a bit out of the way, most folk don't want to travel far for ferrets, and the locals don't want them till the season starts, they want you to feed them all summer, then turn thier noses up if they have to pay a fiver, they always know somebody that sells them for 3 quid, but odly enough they end up buying mine. atb mike. there you are we're on first name terms :D
