A dog that fails to do the job it was bred for would never be in my kennel and never be bred off. FACT. As i have said before, if a dog bred for bunnys and big bunnys didnt do bigger quarry, then tha

Lets be honest though most well bred lurchers will get the tag jacker 90pct through being used and abused by dimwits who think the fekin dogs a machine not flesh and blood.

i want one does anyone no where to buy one from proven cocking stuff

never heard of that kind of dog mate

Hes on about dogs that have jacked (Come off of their prey.

Personally I think it depends what the pups are being bred for.

For example if the dogs no good on fox/hare but a great rabbit dog and is being bred back to a good rabbiting bitch for rabbiting work, then I think thats acceptable as long as the purchaser of the pups knows.

However if the pups are wanted for hare/fox and one of the parents has jacked/cocked then its just like breeding pets and the purchasers would then have to take a chance. If the pups were from a litter where both parents were allround workers then the person that buys the pup knows that the breeding is their and the working ability is in them.

Depends . . . . wouldn't be able to make the decision unless i knew the dog and owner. Instinctively i want to say 'not in a million years' but i have seen some good dogs, with good breeding jack in the hands of some proper idiots (to be fair the dogs had more brain than they did). They were just entered badly and run badly, fed and cared for badly.. . . . . with a different owner they may come on a treat.

Actually i think i have answered my own question. No, i wouldn't, probably not worth the risk, you shouldnt be breeding that often, so when you do you should always look around for the best you can get. Although i wouldn't necessarily feel contempt for the dog . . . .

or i know what you mean now :icon_redface:. i dont think it matters much what the parents do it is how you bring a dog up

it depends on how good the dog or bitch was and why the dog stashed jacked cocked pulled up spewed it through towel in down tools joshed it in the first place and how many times it did it

suppose i would have to agree really, dogs that are bred from non-workers(and we all know who i mean) can still turn out handy tools if brought up and entered correctly,i suppose the same can be said from a dog that jacks, just because the parents are doing everything doent mean that the pups will although im sure most would want working parents doing the job if asked, but to me would not matter to much,as said trained and entered correctly is half the battle,or is this one of the reasons there is so many shit dogs getting passed from pillar to post ie because of this type of breeding,i think not, personaly, mainly down to shit owners jmo

Bull xs that dont do their job should not be bred off, as that is the only logical rason for having that breeding in a lurcher.
