i try to run them at 10mph for 5 mile every second day up a old unused road while not doing any lamping as the season has ended :wallbash:

she is the smartest but looks dont kill she just a rabbit n hare dog the brindle 1 is the better one for all game.the fawn 1 just a pup not seen anything yet :thumbs:

If your season has ended mate, then let them rest a bit, good walks every day is enough out of season, then prepare them a month before the start of the next season.

 

I like them to rest up a bit out of season and if that means putting a little weight on then so be it, no athlete can be at its peak 12 months of the year without it taking its toll.

 

I got stopped by a copper a couple of years ago doing same thing on a hardly used fell road, dogs seems good type, all the best. WR.

it doesnt really tire the dogs out its just really a change for them and mainly to harden the brindle ones feet up and keep the pups mind off chewing my shed it wont do them any harm will it its just same as them going out for a hour and running around after each other probly this way they would be running faster than just a trot

Each to their own mate, i prefer to let them have some leisure time in summer, plenty of walking and pottering about, rather than a strict fitness regime, maintining peak fitness all year round doesnt give them any rest., just my opinion, some will think different.All the best.
