bendrover 556 Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 well thats it for another season.had a great 1st half of season,then the frost.had a few good days in between frost and ice.so all in all cant complain have a good summer and plenty of rest and energising to all. wirral countryman 2,110 Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 most of my serious stuff is over now,ferreted wednesday on some horse paddocks and spent half the day digging out pregnant or milky does,I have to finish it off otherwise she will get someone else in,not enjoyable,I know it's against the law to move them alive but at this time of the year we alway's put them down in places where they've been wiped out,it just gives them a chance,also while ferreting that day we ran a fox to ground that looked fit to burst with cubs,so I would say mostly over for most decent countrymen,yis wirralman Quote Link to post

milo 74 Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 Had a decent season,not has many has normal but i think thats due down to the weather that we had,in total i dug on my terriers 17 with the hounds,18,when hunting with the lurchers and the lurchers caught 15 above ground,up until last week this week was our 3rd blank of the season with wed night shit due to fog,fri night shit due to the moon and today we just had to go around and check a few earths,just before the farmer starts lambing...nothing to ground...so we must be doing a too good a job,hope everyone has had a good year,and i look foward in reading next years posts Quote Link to post
FightTheBan 1,147 Posted February 28, 2010 Report Share Posted February 28, 2010 Pretty poor season here. The ground was either frozen solid, covered in snow or saturaed with rain. Very fer decent running days and the game has taken it pretty hard. Just got some more rabbits to clear up and it will be by. Pleanty of terrier work mind you with alot accounted for so its not all bad news. FTB Quote Link to post
