If a dog yaps whilst on the chasing will it affect the lurcher in the long run. But the lurcher is unfit and quite over weight.

Yes it will affected it if you keep running a unfit and an over weight, Because you'll lend up inprint in its head,,

Its yapping cause its proberly frustrated that it cant come to terms with the rabbits,

Dont let it see another till you have the weight off and clocked up some miles on the bike with it,,

Then try it again on so real easy runs sitter ect get as close to the rabbit as you can..

Then you'll see if you have a yapper..!!

Also make sure theres no underlieing injurys that will make a dog yap as its twisting and turning after his rabbit..

I Think the general consensus is to get your dog reasonably fit and not still feeding pups before you attempt to work them, you could do some real physical and psychologically damage :hmm:

At 2 years old she is only just full formed and to go through having a litter at that age is tough enough for her to deal with, so ease her in with some quality walks and don't rush her into working, you sound like you know the problem anyway, so simply fix it first
