with a mod or with out a mod...

Recommended Posts

I dont use a mod, have dropped 4 roe deer one after the other in the same field and have shot more than one fox in a field. I dont see the advantage of the extra 200 quid +, i think you would be better putting that money into a better scope.

The only advantage i see is for your hearing, for noise reduction in a built up area and so when lamping it is easier to identify you hitting your quarry.

If you have money to burn then fair enough, if you dont it can be spent more wisely.

been looking at the pes does anybody know what advantages the longer version has over the shorter version? is the shorter version still a sleeved version? only downside to the t3 stainless varmint is the barrel length even before i fit a mod.

people say the wildcat is a good mod very short extension to the barrel and can be broken down to clean...i have actually ordered one...but im just not sure i want a front end heavy gun, the Tikka T3 lite is soooo lite with out it...and as above i could use that money somewhere else! like getting an alternator for my car! seeing as i broke down at 2am after lamping last night

Simple fix is silicone sealant and lead in the butt, just unscrew the plate and fill it up, experiment with exactly the right weight first, probably approx 6oz or 150g required!!
