A post like this tends to draw the retards out and no mistake :clapper::clapper: Ive no problem with anyone asking a question ,i get it all the time with a lad out with us ,its the posts that are as sounder put it ,blatantly goading us into writing things that could be mislead .Perhaps i worded it wrong but it seems there are a few who definately have no experience in terrier work and will have none this time next year .They are passing through and it pisses me off .As for he who said my posts are full of shite ,he can back that up can he !Retard :whistling:

"Terriers get immune to punctures, but slashes need immediate attention" your words FD,and complete bullshit.

Problem is youre trying to sound like an expert and you obviously arent and then putting other inexperianced people down by starting this thread.

Some posts are stupid,"which dogs are best for deep digs" springs to mind, ignore them, simple.

As for me being a retard, lmfao.

Do you want to elaborate on this mate as you must be doing something im not and any advice is well recieved .Fox bites ,and i mean puncture wounds, are no problem to a terrier that is used to it .Slashes get filled with dirt and unless treated soon they go wrong.Tell me whats bullshit about that .

I don't think FD needs me to come to his defence but after 27 years with terriers he's got a point. The statement is probably worded wrong thats all, the swelling a terrier gets the first few times when working a fox doesn't effect it half as much, if at all once its working on a regular basis. The slashes a dog receives should always get seen to straight away. I would always clean "all wounds" once back in the house and if necessary take the terrier straight to a vet.

Well mate i nearly lost a terrier through a puncture wound, small insignificant single puncture, didnt even see it,next day the dog was semi concious with a badly swollen neck, immediate vet job and a very close thing, now if some inexperianced lad listens to you and ignores punctures as "dogs are immune to them" think what could happen, obviously ALL wounds should be treated asap, but ignoring punctures is pure stupidity, thats only one example of your utter crap.

The good thing about letting retarded people post on here is it allows the rest of us to feel better about our selves. The problem is that there ARE a lot of retards and there are also a lot of nice enough people who ask stupid question / make stupid comments. However the purpose of this forum as well as to discuss is also to learn and teach and so blocking those who are not experienced out doesn't help.

What would help is if everyone who had a gripe about what someone has posted just hit the report button (allowing the tread to be removed) rather than engaging in pages and pages of arguments and put downs. YES they are retarded, but is arguing with them on a website going to change that or does it just make you feel better?

I have noticed tho that since the ban on hunting there are WAY more idiots who now hunt with dogs, who i dont think had any interest when it was legal.

Interesting sub question - how many folk have killed a fox with dogs for the first time AFTER the ban was put in place?

Im not getting on the "retard! bandwogon, but punctures can cause more problems than slashes if they become infected. Slashes are easier to clean properly, where as a puncture wound can harbour bacteria and see the gamest of dogs pretty sick in no time.

The best treatement ive found for punctures is a watered down solution of Hydrogen peroxide injected with a syringe[minus needle] crap fizzes out and wound slightly cauterised, but must be done asap, thought that was worth a mention.

Stand back quick though-that shit smarts a bit!
