jok 3,317
I’ve just gone to the garage and found a battery card. There are 7 different sizes including the ones I used with my my 1 collars. This card came from home bargains but like my wife just said, you can get anything from Amazon. By the way they cost next to nowt. Jok. Quote Link to post

They will die in a few days or couple of weeks at most , even if they are removed from the device. And they can totally expire with very little warning. So not reliable enough for ferret finding. Batteries of the right type can get you through a winter as long as you take them out of the collar or slacken the cap off to break the connection when not in use. They tend to give plenty of warning when they are getting tired by losing a bit of range long before they give out completely. Chucking em out after every couple of trips is sheer decadence! Arry 22,282
I won't used the cheap ones off ebay not only are they unreliable (I've had them die with the ferret in ground) and they don't last long. They also must leak a bit because you have to clean the little pin in the centre of the collar every trip. I use Renata batteries and as others have said if you disconnect the cap when you get home they will last all season. Cheers Arry Quote Link to post
