although doing deer with dogs is now illegal -

how come they dont make as much of a fuss of a stalker shooting a PREGNANT deer?

How do we know it actually was pregnant? Its all bollocks to make the story more shocking, like the bit where they left the dog to feed off the carcase! I'd say it got left as the shit had hit the fan and the dog wouldn't leave the deer.

How thick were they to be doing it by the gates at 16.30 though :icon_eek:

not sure about other species, but fairly sure that fallow & roe Doe's will be pregnant this time of year.

Yes, dogs - deer, illegal... poaching illegal. But they try to make it worse by saying the dogs were set upon a PREGNANT deer.

Stalkers are shooting PREGNANT deer now.

Dogs - Deer - Illegal

Shoot - Deer - Legal

Pregnant? Down to your own morals?

i was told of them a few month back ,that there was a 60 head heard being reintroduced to try and make the fallow more popular round that area and that they were being monitored and watched daily.also the river yarrow has had a few otter holts built to try and get otters back in to the area ,and they are watched daily .the head of the wildlife trust who are doing all this is an ex dci so it is not the best place to be running dogs anyway with all the activerty .up to last year we used to do a lot of fox,s round that area but got a phone call to say that all this would be going on in the next 12 mounths so havent been any were near this year and glad i never bothered ......the bit on the news about the pregnant doe ,the wildlife officer actually said if they had took it for its meat and killed the doe quickly it wouldnt have been as bad but apparently they had 2 dogs tug of waring on it for 20 mins or so while the lads were filming it on there phones while it was screaming the field down ,i also known that 6 were took last weekend with the rifle so they must be keeping them down to around 60 head or less thats all i know for now but will put something else up when i find out more
