I couldn't believe my eyes when I watched this.

 

We all know our politicians have allowed a new class of people to form who don't want to work but to paint all X million of the white (only white by the way) unemployed as lazy and useless is utterly disgusting.

 

No doubt aimed at swaying voters away from the BNP with the election looming.

Hand picked of course to show the worst side and even the 'team england' who was trying to chivvy everyone along and turn up to work was made a fool out of.

 

So...white men not only can't jump but also cannot work as hard as foreigners lol!

Thought It was a crock of shit myself. As you say the workers seem hand picked for the show, allthough at least little and large did try there best. TBH though, I've no real problem with imigrants working here. It's the spongers and criminals I'm dead against.

That documentary was a fair and accurate representation of the unemployed British population, and i ask you to prove it otherwise. There are hoards of Brittish people too stupid and bone idle to get off there arse to earn a living. They would much rather let tax payers pay for them to sustain there lousy existence.

 

I say good on those Europeans for knowing what graft is, and earning a living. If our own people would work there would be no need for as much immigration.

I agree immigration needs a drastic cut, but at the moment the country would be on its arse without them.

It struck me as another pro immigration piece of propaganda from the BBC. It isn't really valid to compare hard working, motivated Eastern Europeans with lazy British spongers (except for the fellas who got laid off from their water main fixing jobs.) Why not take some motivated hard working Brits to Poland and compare them to some lazy Polish layabouts? Having been loosely associated with people who work for the BBC, any decent hard working unemployed Brits the show filmed would have ended up on the cutting room floor. Now you all need to remember multiculturalism is good, Gordon Brown saved the world and X Factor starts at half seven.

My wife and i watched that program, it did raise some valuable points about british vs migrant workers, but when a programe like this is aired it is difficult to distinguish what is made for tv and what is indeed factual, i have been at the receiving end of a similar documentary that was supposed to highlight the dangers of binge drinking, as it turned out what the media wanted to film was a club load of drunken louts causing trouble instead of the sensible ones who were just out for a good night, dont get fooled into thinking that just cos its on tv its the truth, and remember good news doesnt sell unless your rescueing puppies from a sack in a river, bad news always sells.

I will admit there will be a few false truths in the programme, as all broadcasts are. But the vast majority was as acurate as anything you will ever get off the BBC.

 

Go to any large farm, packing works, highland grouse shoot (beating) etc and they will be full of foreign workers, not because the pay is shit but because no one is willing to do it.

 

Go grouse beating up in Inverness, you get £70 cash a day, free accomadation and one meal to do beating. That is a decent pay for anyone who has no income. Very few people are willing to work hard, for long hours...even if the pay is half decent.

 

Another example:-

Relief milking - £10-£15 per hour, but no one can be arsed.

I dont dispute that there are lazy brits but how ironic that the BBC, who where ever possible will put a so called cross section of society in every program, only chose a bunch of white people. This clearly implies that the useless unemployed are all white. Secondly several of them were willing to have a decent crack but they supervisors were clearly incited to needle them or put them under presure. The BBC got to hand pick the people and deliberately chose some who would have a decent go but fail under the circumstances so they could prove a point hardly scientific! They should have been randomly picked and covered a cross section of the population.

 

To the comments that there are jobs that people wont do then there needs to be change, people will take the easy option if given it but they should be shown the way to self respect by working for their money. In the end that chinless rich land owner said it all. It would eat in to his profit to spend time and money training people where he can just hire people who work like slaves from countries which have a more draconian labour market. Those people work or starve so they'll prefer to come here. So we're supporting borderline slavery now it seems, and did anyone not notice the 12 hour shifts and 7 day weeks they were said to be working? No doubt circumventing labour laws to allow that. Finally there wasn't a single brit in any of those factories or farms. You would have expected some at least but I wonder if those jobs weren't even advertised in the UK. Are unscrupulous characters trafficing workers like those chinese cockle pickers?

OK but who is saying send all immigrants home? NO ONE! NOT EVEN THE NF.

This was just another attempt to make us think its a choice between 'send em all home' and what we have now which an open door policy.

 

You have to compare like with like. If there was any houses available in the countryside that farm labourers could afford then maybe we would have some farm labourers. You cannnot compare men who hav lived in a town with a home and family with immigrant workers living 6 to a mobile home.

A local cleaning firm owned by a friends mum advertised a cleaning job and got 121 replies includeing teenaged to middle aged men desperate for anything they could get. Yes we need migrant workers but let ONE in to fill ONE unfillable job. Its not rocket science!

One of them apparently picked £170 odd quids worth of asparigous in a day .. but didnt even manage a quarter of that on the day of filming ... hmm very believable.

I've worked with arabs and north africans for years, in my experience they are all lazy (cultural rather than racial reasons) especially compared to people from other parts of the world (not just white european). I would even go as far to say in my own experience more than 90% of those I'v e worked with are lazy.

 

Now if I made a documentary saying that the arabs or north africans are so bloody useless and lazy that us Europeans have to go over there to extract their oil for them there would be uproar no matter how true it was.
