no it dosent need to be smaller but you need a smaller dog were i run,

my bitch does well in small fields saluki/grey x whippet x 1/4bull x grey well thats what i was told she was (brindle)

yhe other is better in large fields 1/4 saluki 1/8 whippet 5/8 grey (black) they both catch them where ever
