PEST CONTROL

Recommended Posts

had a ride out today with DBRITT with his russel and also ALBERT who's land it is to do abit of pest control, the land we went to is where a farmers been lambing and has had abit of trouble with loosing new born lambs, the ewes have been having twins out in the fields and when the farmers been checking on them he has found the odd one missing with out a trace, he has had the hunt on but they haven't picked anything up, anyway we set of checking afew earths but nowt at home then we came to a nice 3 holer in which looked well with all the entrances pulled out, the russel gave us a mark so in she went, it was abit tight for her but she pushed herself on and after a good 20 mins a nice big dog fox bolted and was shot, we then moved on to another little spot in a wood, we tried afew bunny sets that nearly have cubs in each year but nothing looked active, we then went to a earth that around 6 holes on the corner of the wood, the russel gave us a mark and in she went again, she got a good run about and every time she settled we bang on the ground and they'd move on, after nearly a hour we got a steady mark of around 3ft, glad realy cos on some of the marks we got we were getting 10/12ft and then 8ft down to the 3ft we got, the soil in alot of these earth are sand so we were happy of a 3footer, it didnt take to long to brake through to a little bit pissed of vixen, the russel was lifted and ALBERT humanly dispatched it with 12, the farmer was a happyer man when we left and hopefully no more lambs will be taken, heres afew pics
