ferrets lost weight

hi two of my ferrets have lost loads of weight is this normal this time of year the are both sisters and about a 11 months old and they both seem fine still eating well

normal to loose a bit of weight after the winter months, just keep an eye out that they are feeding ok

Are they loosing wieght or are they just moulting out there thick winter coat into there summer one ??

Are they in season yet ? Make sure they are eating as per normal and are active enough.

They will also look thinner as there coat thins out

It may, If they are eating ok they will be fine but if they stay in season for a bit,then keep an eye on them.

I doubt they will have been in season for very long at this time of the year. The most likely culprit is there coat thinning making them look scrawny.

Are you doing anything to take them out of season.? I ask because if you are just letting them go through it you need to keep an eye oot for anemea ( weight loss ,lethargy ,loss off appetite and blue tinge to gums)
