GooseyLucy 2
Maybe some sleep tonight I tell you there's some right crap on TV on the wee small hours Blaze is doing brilliantly given all that she went through, the second she came round from the anaesthetic she was looking in the box and wanting her puppies. I had the ideal opportunity too to ask the vet about c-sections and how recovery times seem to differ from one vet surgery to another (a discussion I'd been having with some people just the week previously). She's a little tender around the scar at first but she let the puppies on her straight away. There's been no milk through yet but the pups have been trying all the same and aren't crying. I'm just getting some bottled puppy milk to give them a helping hand until the bitches milk comes through. Quote Link to post
GooseyLucy 2
Just lost the little dog pup. Unlike his thriving littermates he was struggling and despite the best efforts of the bitch and a helping hand from me he went suddenly downhill. Managed to bring him back once but nature got her way in the end. The 3 bitches and 1 remaining dog continue to feed and thrive, dam is doing well, she was a star licking and nudging her little dog to try and get him going. Some things just aren't meant to be I'm away to the sofa to get my first sleep since so long I can't remember. Though I doubt I'll nod off entirely, always one ear open to sounds from the pups and dam. Edited March 28, 2010 by GooseyLucy Quote Link to post
