wrowmon 1
don't think it matters what size dog you have if caught you are caught...why change the type of dog you want to work because of a chance you will be pulled for being out with a large dog, bollox work what you want don't give in ...from what i read of the law they can bring a case against an yr old lady walking three yorkies if enough evidence of chasing ground game can be proved.. fieldsman 51
I know a lot of people in the dog world and I can,t think of any one who has changed the type of dog they run or the quarry they hunt. The hunting with dogs bullsh*^ has only had a negative effect on animal wellfare the worst being the amount of foxes running around dieing slowly from wounding because of dickheads shooting with inappropriate guns or shot loads. In the last 3 years we have also found a lot more hare with shotgun wounds ,now shooting is the only form of control open to a lot of farmers it will continue to be a problem.I know many farmers only shot before the ban but many shoots took little or no interest in the hare population, now many shoot them just to keep the numbers as low as posible to keep drifting dog men off.All the farms for about 5 miles around me had organised coursing and a healthy population of hare now there are far fewer the shooting lads lamp them at night shooting most of the population not very sporting but there you go rant over Quote Link to post
