what do you prefer dog that hunts up or lead walking for slip

Recommended Posts

Personally i prefer my dogs(daytime)to hunt for themselves.. not only does this encourage use of nose.. but also lets the dogs work out different situations for themselves... also the more free running/hunting they do.. the fitter they will get... atb stabba.. just to add they are run off slips at night time.

Depends where you are too.

Where i am there's deer in every other field, so its hard to judge and obediance in your dog is must!

Same problem here but with hares, my dog very nearly ran on to the A1 after running about 500 yards across a field because she thought she saw a hare squatting!
