poacher3161 1,766
Can some one put me right on this as it came up in a recent conversation. That all first cross grey/beddys are either rough coated or brocken coated as i have never come across a smooth f1x?? As a lad has got pups out of two beddy/grey/whipp hybreds thats been bred together and out of the 3 pups that were born 1 is smooth i said that only f1x crosses will gaurantee all brocken coated pups.atvb dell Quote Link to post

cassshantia 16
by the 2" galvo mesh i reckon that hare is nearly 3 foot long WOW the biggest hare i weighed when i was beating as a lad was 7 and 1/4 lbs with guts and jacket OFF but had a few more good ones but when you grow up the weight etc goes out of the window i can remember the day i was beating and it was a bean field nearly ready ie black as coal the crop and we shot 15 hares in that field and me been keen @10 yr old i carried about 4 on my stick and end of the day i could choose my game so i took the biggest hare as been a lad bigger the better (no im not american )but yeh what a size ,skinned it gutted it and gave it to my dads mate (bet it was a tough bugger ,ha )also my mother commented on the skinned hare she said it looked the size of a new born baby thats how big it looked Edited February 26, 2010 by cassshantia Quote Link to post

Malt 379
Some stunning dogs here lads, fair play. I've got a beddy/whippet which I'm happy enough with, he'd like to be a headstrong stubborn git, but I keep on top of him. I like the idea of a beddy/grey, it's a cross I'm deffo going to own in the future. Quote Link to post
popps 120
popps in my opinion i would not have another cross have kept and breed them for the last 15 years ideal for the type of land i hunt small rough fields very wet all the time in this area whe have the highest rainfall count anywhere in the country the beddyx excel in these conditions . they will also have a go at anythink if you know what i mean thanks for that mate i just cant get over how keen he is owt that moves hes on it always on the look out never wants to stop Quote Link to post
