reggaeman 1
hi all. just thought i'd stick a picture of my ultra stock after a little work on it. for those who know me and saw my last pics of it will know i had painted it in black but not too successfully to be truthful it was a mate of mine(wuzzy) who started me off with it as he got rid of the front chequering(cos it was poor to look at originally)and proceeded to spend 5 or 6 hrs sanding and rubbing because he made such a good job of the preperation i thought i'd spend the next 5 days rubbing boiled linseed oil into the wood(plus a certain light staining method i used)and this is the outcome...... big thanks to wuzzy who sadly is no longer on here hope you all like the new look of my ultra regards Chris Quote Link to post

Snoopy. 0
I never seen the first picture. But it certainly looks like a "pukka" hunting rifle to me. I had a little go of an ultra at my local HFT club and i was pretty amazed with the performance. They seem really good tools for both pursuits. Very nice Shaun. Edited February 24, 2010 by Snoopy. johnboy19 38
Looking good. Im hoping to save a bit of cash to buy an ultra. Heard a lot of good things about them and look a right good bit of kit Quote Link to post
reggaeman 1
this is the 2nd ultra ive owned johnnyboy(177 and 22) i must admit i prefer to shoot with 177 but thats my own preference i am sure you would be happy with an ultra pal cos they really are a great gun. theres really no need to spend hundreds and hundreds of pounds on a top pcp, cos the ultra will be just as effective. good look in the future finding one pal Quote Link to post
farmboy99 1
nice one mate. i thought you sold that ultra!? didnt you have a bit of a thing with the buyer because he used your pic or something? anyway whatever happened shes looking spot on good work! happy hunting tom Edited February 25, 2010 by farmboy99 Quote Link to post

I agree with you on the money side of things there, for me all i want it for is to bag some rabbits and pigeons etc, and with the accuracy of the ultra, it will do the same job as the likes of a hw100 would do. They're not going to be any more deader shooting them with the hw100 than what they would be if you shot them with the ultra Quote Link to post
reggaeman 1
most defo mate... the ultra is acracking all rounder for me as i shhot out of the car sometimes and its really easy to shift about and load Quote Link to post
farmboy99 1
ahh i see you did the same to both then fair do's. the wood looks better to me im a traditionalist when it comes to that. nice gun mate Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi Guy's. When I was looking at a PCP the ultra was top of my list, but being a left hooker my choices were limited. I could have got away with the ultra I think, but would have maybe adapted to stock to shoot it. At the time I couldnt be arzzed, so the HW100 won the toss. But you are absolutly right, most PCP's are so accurate they almost shoot themselves. No need to spend a fortune. ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post
