Removing Scope - HELP

I am trying to remove the scope on my air rifle. The allen key keeping it on the rails seems to be between 2.5mm and 3mm. I didn't think they made 2.75mm. Am I doing something insanely stupid and how do I get round it (the scope not insane stupidity).

Hi TP, are you sure it's an allen screw?

Could be a "Torx" screw like this, some mounts are coming with these now and the keys for them are "L" shaped just like allen keys..

you done want metric mate, you want imperial 3/32 or 7/64 will do it buddy.

Is definately an allen key, will have to look into the imperial sizes!!! Annoying as I could have done with that off tonight.

My money would be on 7/64 ...are they BSA mounts by any chance???
