SNAP SHOT 194
alright mate, i'm thinking it won't cycle with 28g loads, some S/A's dont like the 28's So up your carts to 32g and you should not have a problem... otherwise strip it and give it a damn good clean... rowey 1
My son has the same gun and the same problems. Keep the ram clean and lightly oiled. Remove excess carbon fouling on the cylinder with wire wool. Check the condition of the rubber O ring and replace if necessary(spares come with new guns). Melbourne Gun told me these semi's are notorious for cycling probs but the 3 year warranty and back up are superb. Not sure if the warranty carries over though. You see alot of these guns coming up for sale so I reckon there's a known problem. Like the previous post said cleaning is important. Strip it down and you'll soon see hidden sh!t. Quote Link to post
stubby 175
give the barrel a good clean, making sure the two gas port holes are done last, as they can get filled when cleaning the barrel, what size chamber has it got, if its the 3 1/2" then you'll need heavy loads, and maybe longer too, mine is a 3" chamber, and it sometimes wont cycle the shorter 28grm loads there is another spring that can be bought (check your local dealers) if the problem continues Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
Many semis struggle with light or low recoil carts, the Hatsans primary problem is cartridge LENGTH, use longer and try!! Quote Link to post
clyde p 0
hi mate i have the luxano 12g and that seems to cycle ok at min with 28g loads 70mm on the clay site.but as stubby says check the gas ports are also clean. i use tetra gun lubricant on my semi auto on the inertia springs and mag tube after its had a good clean. its a bit thicker than oil.you do have to keep semis clean though.i also block one end of barrel off with hand and blow down other end you can here air coming out of ports if clear. clyde p Quote Link to post
danebrewer10 6
like others have said, could be that there isn't enough oomph in the cartridges to create enough pressure to cycle the action, it could be dirty, or if it hasn't had that many rounds through it it may still be in the process of being broken in, those Hatsan shotguns do seem a bit...... agricultural DB ooh had to edit that- waaay too many typos Edited February 23, 2010 by danebrewer10 Quote Link to post
