Wiehrauch Carbine Thumbhole ?

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I am looking to buy a new air rifle, I think I am going to buy a Wiehrauch 100T Carbine thumbhole stock.

Can anybody give honest feedback on this rifle ? should I go for .177 or .22 ? I will be using it for vermin hunting. I have heard good things but would welcome your comments before I spend a lot of my hard earnt cash.

Welcome your feedback

Thanks

John...

Hi Mate,

I have the Wiehrauch 100T Carbine thumbhole stock in .177 flavour. I've got to say it is one of the best rifles I have ever used, whisper quiet and pellet on pellet at 45 meters plus. Im using JSB Exact Diablo 0.547g and it performs superbly. In fact it probably more accurate than I can shoot. I'm sure you will get a few different "opinions" but I couldn't be happier. :gunsmilie: :gunsmilie:

i have the hw 100k thumbhole in both .177 and .22 and it is a very accurate rifle in both calibre's the choice of calibre is down to the individual what ever you feel most confident with

Spot on.

Equally accurate - they rely on how good you are in estimating holdover/holdunder.

Look at Zini's posts/videos. He regularly takes corvids at 50metres with a .22, whereas Davy is a cracking shot with .177.

You pays yer money ........

Cheers

Finally managed to get mine in .177 flavour last year and was over the moon :clapper: I just don't seem to be able to warm to it for some reason ? :icon_redface: Don't get me wrong it's a brilliant rifle, but i went into a gun shop today and was having a chat with the guy in there. He said that his shop had sent 3 back since xmas because they were not holding a charge ? I asked if they were the original version or the revised one with the quick fill thinking it would be the original. NOPE they were the revised version :icon_eek::icon_eek: which is what i have. I haven't had any problems with mine but had a little look at the R10 whilst i was in there, much nicer on the eye imo so now debating what to do ??

All the best with your new rifle mate whatever you choose you'll love, i have no doubt
