FALLOW BUCK

Recommended Posts

I travelled to my stalking ground in the Scottish Borders yesterday afternoon with the intention of looking for a fallow buck. Couldnt help but take a pic of ths cracker..........

When I arrived the weather was still very warm but there was evidence that the deer had started rutting

I stalked around the quarry with plenty signs of deer but no luck :(

I continued to head for a nice little quiet piece where I knew deer had been seen , glassing the area below me I spotted a nice buck thrashing a bush , so it was to be my lucky day :D

I travelled home very happy , nice weather , bagged a buck and had seen 3 red squirrels today, this ground holds a healthy population of these critters and they are always amusing to watch :):D
