granted we prefer to use the term "bringing on a pup" but isnt the way we turn a pup on or ease into the game "a form of training"??.

Entering a terrier is part of its training. How many otherwise good terriers are ruined by mishandling? All part of training.

Also,on that note,how many terriers are trained to sit,stay,lie,retrieve etc?

theirs not much training in a terrier for earth work really is their all you can do is bring them out as much as you can get them used to the country side and all the surroundings and put some manners on them pin them outside the earth when they get to the right age and when their ready to enter the rest is up to them.

You cant actually "train" a terrier to do its job,what you can do is make the right moves with it when its learning,theres some rights and wrongs that will help no end and go towards making a good dog,staying can be "taught" or helped along a lot,but what with one thing and another on here lately i dont feel like sharing hard earned knowledge with some people.

i can tell some think your wanker that think he nos evey think so what do you do then when your on a dig and the farmer got live stock in the field so dont you train the terrier to keep a way from the live stock then you dick cos last thing you want is the dog locking on to sheep ect and the farmer come to see how you are geting on and the dog riping is live stock apart you nob
