mange ???

Recommended Posts

My 8wk old lurcher pup has been scratching since ive had her 2wks now . Weve frontlined her with the spray bathed her with some puppy shampoo weve been to the vets who sold us some cream nothing worked so we went back to the vet who now says it's fox mange so she put some spot on stuff on her and sold me some more to do my lab the vet said it would work in 12 to 24 hours .Well we will se as she has not stopped and has hardly any hair by her tail now .I will be going back into the vets tomorrow and i'm not very happy as at no time has the vet taken a skin scrapping to confirm that it is mange in the first place.

Use a different vet mate! Also see how she goes with half a piriton......if the scratching stops its obviously stopped itching. Could be mange, could be an allergy. What you feeding her on?

I did a job last year where the dog was scratching and had no fur left, the cat had started too and the owners were starting to get bitten. Turned out to be bird mites having left the birds nest under the eaves of the house after the birds had left. Needed a good, thorough spray about with a residual insecticide.

dont know if engine oil works but be careful it could be poisonous to the dog ingested by the dog licking itself it may work haven't used it before only in a engine of course

it does work it also gets rid of fox mite. cheaper than taking it to the vets anyway
