davyt63 1,845
First of all. Hope i'm not stepping on anyones toes and apologies if i am. Shooting From The Hide is a new airgun hunting forum which offers members the chance to share their experiences with like minded people. It's still in it's infancy so excuse any mistakes etc. It can be found here; www.shootingfromthehide.myfreeforum.org/index.php There is also a competition running. After the forum has generated 150 members. All the names of actively posting members will be added to a hat. At random one will be selected and the winner can choose a gift of their choice worth £20 or up to that amount from the following stores. Blackpool Air rifles. Uttings. The Forum will be run on a free server untill we can get a board of our own. Hope to see you all there. hi snoopy the link took me straight to BBS,are we allowed to put up posts of shot quarry & graphic photos/videos, if not! i wont be joining.sorry mate regards davy Hi Davy, Yes your allowed to post whatever pictures you like on the forum. It was made as an "easy going" forum. We don't have many rules so that will hopefully give members abit of freedom. Darryl, I wouldn't personally mind if someone posted a link on the forum. I have a link and description of The Hunting Life on the forum. So that members who register who have not seen the hunting life will have the opertunity to register with you. However, If Admin feels this topic need's to be removed i would have no quarms with this. I realise i have a low post count. Kind Regards. Shaun. hi sean i tink i can squeeze another forum in.on top of my other 8,seems im not a hw100 owner any more i just as well leave there ( W.O.C) and see whats on offer at yours regards davy Quote Link to post

carpentermark 21
Hi all, ive been a member here for a few weeks now and this is the only post i've come accross where i've felt i HAD to say something in response: 1. I can't believe people are actually putting this chap down for starting, advertising, and making others aware of another site/ forum dedicated to hunting sports which we all hold dear! 2. Honestly, where do you think would be a better place to share knowledge of this site, other than like minded well run sites like this one?????? 3. All he is doing is asking you to have a look and if you like to join. he's not asking for any money and he's not telling you to cancel your membership here! 4. With all the anti's and bad press we have to deal with, i would think you all would see the benefit in having as many like minded sites in favour of what we do and showing it in a good light as possible?! 5. I've yet to meet a man who knows everything! therefore i urge all of you to take it for its absolute minimum, in that being able to trawl through as many posts, on as many different topics, on as many British based hunting sites as possible will give you the best opportunity of learning something new! Sorry for the "old man rant" but i dont see the anti's complaining about another anti hunting site or poster or campain or petition or press release etc.............................. SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT?! As far as i'm concerned as long as the site is well run and shows our sport in a good light then i'm behind it, and any others 100%. Good luck to you. Marksman 934
I had a feeling my initial comment might be taken the Wrong way. I'm not having a go at anyone or am I complaining about another like minded site. All I initially said was it would have been common courtesy to ask THL admin if he could "advertise" about his forum or even offer a link exchange. I run/own a website dedicated to modified and high performance cars (another one of my passions) and have done the very thing in offering a link exchange and being affiliated with other sites no offence was intented so I apologise if anyone has been Darryl Quote Link to post

I agree and certainly have nothing against anyone knocking up a forum and pushing it on others . but we all have to admit there are so many forums around these days singing from the same song sheet we all end up repeating ourselves over and over again, Most forums end up virtually the same when they have been up and running a while weather it be Falconry, Dogs or whatever..... Don't get me wrong alot of these forums are great for meeting people. sharing pictures and gleaming much information if you need it, but some of the posts that do the rounds like the old one "Which Calibre .177 or .22?" just cabage your brain .... I'm not blatantly taking a swing at anyone so don't take it the wrong way as its only a opinion....... cheers Jasper Quote Link to post

Ask an anti "at what point do the amount of anti hunting websites become too many? where the posts that do the rounds like the old one - BAN THE HUNT - begin to cabbage your brain, and i'll give you 1 guess as to the reply you will get?! Well Guys i must say to you ALL, thanks for your support in getting the forum on it's feet. We've got a few members now with more joing everday. We've got a good team of admin/mods who will keep the plce right. But i must stress that it is the members forum and aslong as they don't go completely stupid, they can do with it what they like. Hunting pics, vids and stories are allowed. We have a strip down section including walkrthoughs on how to strip down a fair few rifles. We have a cooking section and a section we call the "wild Gourmet" where people who enjoying foraging for food aswell as shooting can post. We've also uploaded a live chatbox onto the forum so the members can have some banter whilst looking through posts. So it's getting there and seems to be improving whith each coming day. A final Note; Darryl. I for one didn't take your post to heart. I completely understood your post mate. You obviously enjoy this forum and your looking after it's interests. I see nothing at all wrong with that. No apologises needed. Once again, thankyou to the lads who've been supporting us. Speak to you soon. Shaun.
