First of all. Hope i'm not stepping on anyones toes and apologies if i am.

 

Shooting From The Hide is a new airgun hunting forum which offers members the chance to share their experiences with like minded people. It's still in it's infancy so excuse any mistakes etc.

There is also a competition running. After the forum has generated 150 members. All the names of actively posting members will be added to a hat. At random one will be selected and the winner can choose a gift of their choice worth £20 or up to that amount from the following stores.

Uttings.

 

The Forum will be run on a free server untill we can get a board of our own.

Not trying to start and arguement mate, but try and look at it in THL admin's eyes.....

 

You come onto a site very similar to your own with only 6 posts under your belt and advertise for other people to join it..... How would you feel if someone did it on your site??

 

Don't get me wrong mate I wish you every success with it, however just out of common courtesy I would have contacted a THL admin first seeking permission to post your "advert"

Hi Davy, Yes your allowed to post whatever pictures you like on the forum. It was made as an "easy going" forum. We don't have many rules so that will hopefully give members abit of freedom.

 

Darryl, I wouldn't personally mind if someone posted a link on the forum. I have a link and description of The Hunting Life on the forum. So that members who register who have not seen the hunting life will have the opertunity to register with you.

 

 

However, If Admin feels this topic need's to be removed i would have no quarms with this. I realise i have a low post count.

I confess......I have joined the site, I thought it would be good to support other forums aswell as THL.

 

But I can see the reasoning behind the points that have been made above.

 

Hopefully the two sites will compliment each other.....or maybe not.....I dont know, doe's it not work that way??

I hope the two sites can compliment each other. Shooting from the hide isn't ever going to be as big as THL. If you feel like you want to join and see what's it like then i'd be happy to see you over there. As said, everyone is welcome. However, if you feel that you don't want to join the forum. Then don't. I don't want to cause any disputes over loyalties ect.

 

Just because i have a low post count does not mean i have not been active on this forum. last year i sent 4 books completely free of charge to a young chap who was going away to college to begin a career in game keeping via this forum. I can understand why the above post may upset people. But i have helped some mebers of this board in the background and have also contrubuted to the hunting section on occasions.

 

It wasn't my intention at all to cause any sort of debate/argument over this matter. And hope this will now stop.

Hi Shaun.

 

I think if you had upset the admin on here, your post would have been deleted or blocked or what ever they do.

 

I think people are just defensive of THL, which I think is cool.

 

Will all blow over hopefully.

 

There's enough sh*t in the world without friction between like minded site's, we all enjoy the sport, so why not get on together
