help with training

How do Folks,

 

I have a major problem on my hands with the pup.

I have been getting on grand with his training and he is doiong really well.

The company I work for have just dropped a bombshell that I will be working abroad from March to Sept with basically no time at home, by that i mean the odd weekend and two weeks in August.

He is 5 months old and walks well to heel on the lead and sits at heel no prob. STops to the siungle whistle and comes back on the double.

The advice / help i am looking for is what can be done to keep teh training up. I am not sure about sending him away as my daughter would be pretty upset, but may be all that can be done.

I live in Aberdeenshire and am hoping that someone locally may be able to come up with a cunning plan.

Any help, advice etc would be greatly apprecited.

DO NOT WORRY, you have the basics in there, all what you need now is your missus or your daughter to walk the dog, working on the basics which are there so no faults should arise, Just keep ground rules, no playing fetch, always keep the dog in control. making sure he obeys the recall, and general lead work, no faults will arise and when your back you will be able to really crack on with training then, he will be at the perfect age,

 

NO need to send him away or take any drastic action

at that age your wasting your time mate i start mine at a year old and thats only sit and stay and now and again fetch some thing for me

your dog is to young to start anything with it leave it for another 8 or more months it will be a better dog its a pup all it want to do for the first year is play

Will just keep up with going for walks and as we are. keep on at the obidience.
