Recommended Posts

rabbits bedlington whippet x,hares whippet saluki greyhound, and the charlies bull x

what so theres no room for collie in a lamp dog. i would deffinitly have some in especialy if its his first.

if you reed it proper i put bedlington whippet x that means anything in it, collie, bull, greyhound, labrador, jackrussle if you want, and thats my opinion thats what the feller asked what is are opinion, any way every collie cross dog ive owned has never been my cup of tea not saying there crap but ive never had a good one allways found whippet saluki greyhound for me,

you've gotta get out with as many decent lads with decent dogs and see what you think will suit your style of hunting, and will suit your personality and the land you hunt, loads of crosses out there don't limit yourself to what's in front of you,is the track greyhound off good stock with decent feet and plenty of wind?breed off two good working dog's and you stand half a chance at least.

Nearly every good lamp dog ive heard of has some beddy in there somewhere and the best ever round our way had a touch of beddy and collie, dont know percentages just your classic worker to worker bitsa's,buying pups thats parents are good on the lamp would be a good start imo, regardless of type.
