happy larry 3
Your right typp does have some handy dogs, and he knows his stuff,I have got the litter mate (bitch) to typp`s arri, and i can honestly say this bitch is fantastic. not quite as good as her brother but thats down to (a) i had never had a dog before ( typp has been working lurchers for nigh on 50 years i think. shes very clever and very fast, and very very obedient she is my 1st and only lurcher so i was inexperienced with training but all things considered shes done realy well.If i knew then (training) what i know now i would of had a good gun dog to boot.I go up to typps a couple of times a year and we go out on the fell with the dogs or do a spot of ferreting.if you look at some of my post you will find a couple of threads with pics of arri and my bitch,if you need further answers/help just ask mate atb paul Quote Link to post

colliejohn 840
Typp is a very goodfriend of mine and has been for years, i,m up at Typp,s most weeks throughout the season, and i do abit of judging with him, he has bred some great dogs over the years, one of which was Brian Ellis Fly, a fantastic first cross bitch, which was an outstanding hare coursing dog, which won alot of matches in her time.I have a reverse threequarter bred bitch off Typp, she,s been the best dog i,ve ever owned catching alot of game for me over the years, all my current dogs are out of her and Typp,s lines. Typp has always usd the right sort of collies in his lines, i.e. Fell collies, and he usually uses a Fell collie bitch back to a greyhound dog, and to me this keeps the size down, his dogs aren,t like the big heavy square shouldered types of first crosses you see alot off, their light boned and very racey in appearance, i,ve seen Happy Larry,s bitch, and she is a very nice type, along with Typp,s Arri, who is a fantastic dog, Woodga has a dog off Typp, called Typp, and he is more than happy with him, i really rate Typp,s lineage of dog,s and to be honest it,s really hard nowadays to find people who are honest and genuine who work and breed the right types of collie greyhounds. regards collie john.
