Urban Fox Control London 8
Out of interest and to get other pointers, when cleaning your Ruger 10/22 what do you find is the best method? Fully strip down the rifle or just carry out a barrel scrub with brush and pull through with a solvent swab to remove fouling? Do you ever full strip the 10 shot magazine for cleaning? Lightly oil moving metal parts? I also have a SAK moderator on the rifle that I strip and clean with an approved cleaning solvent? All comments would be appreciated. hingindoolie 0
Do your self a favour mate and do not strip down the mag. It's a finicky thing to put back together and never the same. Soak them in white spirit for a while and give them a good shake. Thats all they need. Been Bunny bashing with a Ruger 10/22 now for three years and never been stripped down. Never missed a beat. Hoppes bore snake is all it gets after every outing. Quote Link to post
the Verminator 0
i very really clean mine, works fine. when the accuracy starts to go a bit i clean the barrel. very occasinaly complexly stip it down and give it a proper clean, at the same time i also do the magazine. there are some good videos on youtube for how to strip down both. the only thing i do after every trip out with it is spray it lightly with a bit of oil to keep the rust away.
