air arms s410 tdr info

does anyone own a air arms s410 TDR im looking to treat myself for my birthday, i no these are very light and this is the reason for why i want to purchase this gun, i currently own a bsa superten , rapid 7, webley raider and air arms s300 and just want something lighter for long hills i have to climb. any information on this would be appreciated?

Hi Nick,

 

I have the .177 version that hasn't been out that long. As per all AA S4*0 series it is very accurate. It comes in a very unobrusive case which I have carried in public without anyone knowing what it is (badge side against my leg).

 

It is light and the butt plate is adjustable. It has a very positive locking mechanism for the stock and is overall a well engineered package. Very consistent shot to shot if you only fill to 170 bar and shoot down to about 110 bar. I think I get about 40-50 shots - plenty enough shots for hunting. It will happily shoot excellent groups at 50 yds with both Accupells and Bisley Magnums, the only difference being the extra mildot holdover required with the Bismags.

thanks for the info, im after one of these as ive just got a new permission which involves lots of climbing onto barn upper floors, as i no these are very light. kind regards nick harris

i have the s410 carbine that is a very good gun in my eyes but my friend has the rapid 7 and well it sh#ts on mine only cos it is pumped to the fu#king limit but ye s410 is a light and good gun i am very happy with mine

I have one in .22 and love it. So far, out to 45 yds it's as deadly on rabbits as it is on rats at 15 yds. Only things I would mention are the getting used to it because it is so light (took a while for me to be able to get used to not having the sturdy support of 11lbs of kitted out HW77k.), and the feel of it compared to a standard stocked rifle.

 

Apart from those two minor bits, they're awesome, with very few compromises made to incorporate the TDR.

 

I'd go get one today!
